This is an excellent site which features the beauty of the Sargent Wildlife Preserve which is a short, mile and a half drive from the front door of Bloomhilda's of Chama and Casa de Bloomhilda.  There are many outfitters who will schedule horseback rides in this scenic area or you may just want to drive there and take a lovely hike.

Tierra Wools is a must see when visiting Chama.  12 miles south on Hwy. 84 at the Tierra Wools exit, Tierra Wools is a great getaway where visitors can see some of the finest examples of Northern New Mexican Weaving.

Pagosa Springs, Colorado is a stunning 50 mile drive from Casa de Bloomhilda.   A must do while visiting Chama!  So make sure to bring your bathing suit and take a change of clothes to the Hot Springs at Pagosa.  Exceptionally nice on a snowy day or when you want to have all your worries and cares soothed away.
